The Art of Caribbean Cooking

Yolande Cools-Lartigue is the daughter of the former Governor of the Island of Dominica, where she spent most of her early life, and where she often catered for dinners and cocktail parties held for visiting dignitaries such as Prince Phillip, Prince Charles and the Papal Nuncio. Coming from a family of highly skilled cooks and having travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean she has acquired a thorough knowledge of its cuisine. 

 

Yonande also assisted in creating recipes for rural communities in Dominica to encourage them to prepare tasty nutritious meals utilizing local products. 

 

Now living in Montreal, C.A., Ms. Cools-Lartigue is an acknowledged expert in the art of caribbean cooking, she shares her recipes with radio listeners of the Lower Mainland and has catered private dinner parties and cocktail parties for as many as 1,000 guests.
